Don't Forget the Lyrics!!!!!

Hello!!! Welcome to my blog!! My name is Brittney and this is my first official entry!!! I've finally reached a new level of cool!!! Whoo hoo!!! Ha!!

So how many of you have seen the show Don't Forget the Lyrics? Well, last night at church I discovered that if I was ever on that show I would fail miserably!!!! My youth group had our first annual talent show, and me being the procrastinator that I am, I didn't know what I was planning on singing until a few hours before hand. Big Mistake!!! Now, everyone in my youth group knows that I sing, and I thought this time would be just like every other time singing in front of them. Wrong!! I get on stage, dedicate my song to my dear Emily Light, and then I start singing. First verse...ok, Chorus...ok, Second verse...umm??!! Yea that's right....I forgot the words!! I'm standing there thinking...."Oh no!!! What now!!" So i jokingly start singing something like...."I just forgot the words....I knew this would happen!" Well I guess everything worked out because my best friend Emily Corley, being the goof ball she is, ran up on stage before the whole thing started and sat next to me holding the picture of Emily Light, to whom the song was dedicated. Anyways, I pretty much sang the whole song to her while she sat and "cried." What was supposed to be a sweet song turned into the worlds most random comedy act!!! It was all worth it though!!! We all got a good laugh!!! I guess through it all I did learn one thing.....Don't Forget the Lyrics is NOT for me!!!!!
